Background
eParliament is a governance project which was to focus on facilitating organised discussion, institutional openness and active citizen involvement. With an increasing digital presence, there was also the need to have a more organised and future ready digital platform. The former site was not able to display the overlaying policy information and governance materials in a comprehensible and informative manner.
To overcome these limitations, eParliament engaged the services of Orestes in providing end to end website design and development services to its institutions. Such changes were not limited to the redesign of the visual look of the site but also the restructuring of the manner in which information concerning governance would be organised, accessed and received by the policymakers, contributors and the public.
